About Me:

Oh, hello there!!

First things first: A little bit about me, Rosie Grace, the author.

As you read through the various blogs, you'll find that I'm not really an undercover secret agent, nor a mountaineer, nor a conquerer. I'm not even a zookeeper. (And I don't keep woodland fairies in my basement) But I do love a good adventure, even if it's an adventure in my head, I am so there. I live in beautiful Black Forest, Colorado, and if I go into the city, I get an amazing view of Pikes Peak. When I'm not out in the world, I love to read, dream about reading, go out with my friends, or dream about being out with my friends. I tend to be a bit of a dreamer, so readers beware. I'm kidding.

Some things you need to know about me: I tend to be a peacekeeper and love to talk to people and give them advice. (Usually in the form of a quote or a poem. "I too enjoy occasionally expressing opinions which, in fact, are not my own!" -Pride and Prejudice) That is one of the reasons that I started this website. I'm an amateur percussionist and a pianist, but people like to tell me that I'm a natural. I'm also a tea fanatic. I love any and all tea, but my favorite classic tea is Earl Grey.

I have four cats altogether, and then my goofy rabbit, Stirling, named after Lindsey Stirling. Sunny, the fat orange and white Cymric, his sister, Maxine, grey and black striped tabby, and Annie, a creepy Russian blue with an immune disorder and four teeth. Scooter is a tamed feral cat, he has light grey stripes.

I have a younger brother, Dan, who was 14 the last time I checked, and states that the best moment of his life was getting the chance to see a wolf spider being drowned. I love colors, and with that, anything creative, whether it's making a movie or doodling on a chalkboard. If something looks cool to me, I don't care if it's beginner or intermediate, I will try it. True story.

But why do I do it?

The answer is actually pretty simple. I don't want people to have to go through what I did to get to where I am. I consider each one of my blogs, metaphors, and stories a bridge to get to where we should be faster. A lot of my story channels from a passage in Romans. Paul states, "I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, But what I hate I do."

If you are reading that for the first time, your brain is probably saying, "Woah, girl, slow down. You lost me at 'Do I do'...."

Thats how I felt at first. Then I heard a song, which was sung by a favorite band of mine. If you have looked at my gallery at all, you will be familiar with them. He puts it this way.

"I'm a walking contradiction of the things that I do and the things that I say I believe."

Get it now? Think about it. And then say it five times fast. Just kidding! Anyways, I will finish this up pretty quick here so that you can go and check out the rest of my website.

So, you ask, Why would I want to share that verse with you? It applies to just about any situation in life when there is a factor involved that has to do with us not wanting to do something. Whether that 'something' is cleaning your room, running errands, or even big life challenges, you can probably relate. An example might be the following.

My brother was told to clean his room the other day, but instead went and took a shower because he didn't want to clean his room. (it is up for debate whether or not he is a cat, but the fact is that he does not like to shower). He went and did the thing he did not want to do and avoided doing what he knew he really should do.

I don't know about you, but I can relate to that pretty closely, and in my case, I would be on YouTube or something instead of cleaning our little trailer, the thing that I did not want to do I would be doing. What about you?

This is why I do it. I like to show people that we're not all that different, in fact, anyone can relate to everyone. No one talks about it though. If you know me, you probably think I'm the quiet girl who likes to listen to other people. This is the real me. I want to change the world, because I believe, deep down inside, That I can. That, right there, is why I do it. True story.
